Mr. Abdul-Sallam Bamie was appointed as Chief Executive Officer in October, 2019. He has over 18 years of proven expertise in improving productivity and efficiency through the evaluation of business processes, cost control and value addition strategies in Banking and Information Technology Industries. His core competency areas include but not limited to financial reporting, financial management, developing and instituting strong internal controls, strategic management, banking operations, credit risk management and forensic investigations. He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG). He is also, a Chartered Banker and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers-Ghana. Mr. Bamie holds a Commonwealth Executive Masters in Business Administration Degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Cape Coast. Mr. Bamie started as a Software Developer with the erstwhile Beltway Technologies Ghana Ltd. He later on joined Intercontinental Bank Ghana Ltd (now Access Bank Ghana Ltd) as a Branch Resident Controller. Thereafter, he moved to Energy Commercial Bank Ghana Ltd (now First Atlantic Bank Ghana Ltd) as the Head of Anti-fraud and Investigations Unit. He rose through the ranks to become the Bank’s Financial Controller before exiting the Universal Banking space in the year 2019.
